High jump training

Room8 have been doing high jump for athletics. Soon we are moving on to a different activity. It has been fun doing high jump . Here is a picture of me doing my jump. I found it fun because I like doing the scissor kick over the bar. If you take a fast run up you can jump higher.   

Flying Kites

Li is a boy from China  that flies his kite. So room 8 decided to make kites too. I have drawn a kite. It has a dragon on it.

On Friday we made garments out of paper with our buddy class. I am making a hat for Baki.

Museum trip

On Friday Room 8 andRroom 7 went to the museum. We saw a video clip about  the wearable arts.  I saw a clock. Here is a picture of one of the garments.

Mrs Paraha visits our class

On Wednesday Mrs Paraha brought her baby Eden in to show room 8.

I asked if  Nga was stressed. Mrs paraha said no.
 he is a great father.

Term 1 reflection

The best thing about term 1 was camp because I got to stay up late (secretly.)

What I improved on was my relationships with others. I made a new friend Jaedyn  W. My goal for next term is to not call out on the mat and to stay focused on my work.                                   

I love marmite .

The marmite factory got damaged in Christchurch . Marmite was first made in England. . Marmite is It is a vegetarian spread. Marmite tastes so goooooooooooood .

Danish Rounders

Danish Rounder is a game where you have to run around the bases before the fielders get the three balls in the hoop .   I like runing as fast as I can to try and beat the balls back.                                                           

Reading

Me and my reading group made a poster of some rules.

I made up some rules about the pools.

Assembly

On friday we won the class award because room 8 were the first class to do the first assembly for this year.

Camp

Last week the  middle team had camp. My favourite part of camp was the food for lunch  we had sandwiches and biscuits and cake.

I am looking forward to camp. I hope I am in the same tent as my friends.
